Beacon Reads is a book store in Beacon, NY, run by volunteers to benefit the Howland Public Library through the sale of used books, videos, and other media. It is located at 309 Main Street, Beacon NY, 12508 (view a map), next to the Howland Public Library. Hours vary but the store is open just about every day but Sunday.
Books range from obscure titles and subjects to bestsellers. Prices are usually $0.25 to $1, rarely exceeding $5.
If you are willing to spend a few minutes browsing, you never know what you'll find. But it's always a bargain and it benefits a good cause.
Donations of books are always welcome.
